You can avoid foreclosure by taking right steps in the short period. When you are served a notice of foreclosure you know you are on the brink of financial crisis. Distress selling can land you in a big loss and you may not just be able to pay off all your debts. Be aware that your lender will still come after you for whatever pending due.
